Vacancies at the LMC

The League are always looking for volunteers to assist in the day-to-day administration as well as essential development work.

If you have design or social media skills, we would love you to get in touch as we are always looking to improve and expand our coverage, especially with regard to connecting with players at our fifty-three clubs.

Our League Management Committee meets once a month, and all Officers are encouraged to work on their own initiative to further the goals and objectives of the League.

 

We value work / life balance so ensure that workloads are manageable, and that cover can be provided when required.

 

We currently have two specific roles that we are looking to fill:

 

REVENUE AND GRANTS OFFICER

 

The League has identified the need to have an officer dedicated to identifying and securing outside revenue through sponsorship, grants, etc, that will enable us to reinvest this into our clubs to support them, especially with regard to player recruitment and retention.

 

Sponsorship could be monetary, materials or services, our member clubs have a diverse range of needs based on their circumstances.

The key aspects of the role can be found below:

  • Undertake regular prospect research using a variety of methods to identify potential funding streams and prioritise opportunities based around organisational need and funding criteria/deadlines.

  • Take responsibility for compiling funding bids and applications.

  • Understand club development needs and identify opportunities to provide support.

  • Help develop stakeholder relationships via social media and face to face.

 

 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

 

The League has identified the need for an officer dedicated to community engagement, through our member clubs and the wider community, to help establish long-lasting relationships with charities, community groups and other volunteers.

 

The role is designed to promote the positive role that football can play in the wider community and engage with like-minded groups and individuals to identify opportunities for collaboration.

 

The key aspects of the role can be found below:

  • Have the skills and abilities to work in partnership with charities, community groups and organisations to foster collaborative relationships and identify opportunities to work together.

  • Knowledge and understanding of working with volunteers.

  • Help develop stakeholder relationships via social media and face to face.

  • Be resourceful and creative, with a passion to improve and support communities across the League’s catchment area Ability to meet and work outside of normal working hours.

  • Have the interpersonal and influencing skills to make effective contributions for positive change.
