Storm Eowyn was well beaten as a full programme of domestic cup and league action produced plenty of drama and surprises.
It was a big day in the domestic cup competitions for the Wray and Whitehead Cups.

There were close contests in the Wray Cup with Saddleworth 3D progressing with a 1-0 win over Mellor Reserves. They were joined by Timperley Villa who bested Village Manchester Reserves 3-2.
Cavaliers put up a great fight before going down 5-3 at South Manchester.
Old StretsGregs Reserves won 2-0 at Abacus Media Reserves to set up a crunch match against their first team in the next round.

In the Whitehead Cup, AFC Oldham were too hot for Village Manchester Thirds to handle as they cruised to a big 8-0 win but their reserves were beaten 7-0 in their local derby with Waterhead.
Manchester Saints also hit top form beating Saddleworth 3D reserves 11-1.

Premier Division action saw leaders Salford Vics travel to play Trafford United for the second week on the run and again it was a strange game.
Paul Jameson opened the scoring for Vics direct from a corner after six minutes and then repeated the feat after 25 minutes.
It stayed that way until the start of the second half when Trafford deservedly pulled a goal back.
Pauli Viller restored Vics’ two-goal cushion but there were few chances after this in a fairly scrappy game.
Vics are now 12 points clear of Abacus and 16 points clear of Bedians who have four games in hand as Bedians and Abacus shared the spoils in a 1-1 deadlock.
At the other end of the table Bury Ams climbed out of the bottom two with a gritty 3-0 win at Pro United as Village Manchester remain at the foot of the table losing a tight game by 3-2 at Hazel Grove.

There was plenty of top-of-the-table action in Division One as leaders Chadderton Cott were held to a 1-1 draw by Richmond Rovers.
The top game featured the teams just behind Cott as Rushford Park beat AFC Stockport 7-2 to reduce Cott’s lead to four points.
After a close first half Rushford led 3-2 with goals from Aadi Lek, Onwusiri Nelson and Eden Fallon and then dominated the second half adding four more without reply.
Moston Brook Reserves are in third spot after a thrilling 4-3 win at Elton Fold and Trafford Reserves, with games in hand, are also well in contention after a comfortable 5-2 win at Hattersley. The other game between Stoconians and FC Babylon ended 2-2.

The leading teams in Division Two were all in action and Santos played hosts to Konger, with the teams sharing six goals.
Konger took an early lead but were pegged back just before the interval with a Ryan McConkie penalty.
Early second half goals by Reece Holden and Mike Patterson put Santos in the driving seat but Konger replied with two of their own.
A dramatic goal at the death from Santos was chalked off for a foul and a 3-3 draw was perhaps a fair result
Stretford Paddock Reserves took over the lead from Santos with 4-1 victory over Old StretsGregs but lurking on their heels with games in hand are Rochdalians after an efficient 5-0 win over Tintwistle Athletic Reserves.

In Division Three the title race is heating up as long-time leaders Manchester Rovers lost out 4-3 at Altrincham Hale.
Sublime Athletic won 5-1 at Heywood St James Reserves to move within two points of Rovers who have two vital games in hand.
Trafford United Reserves drew 1-1 in their local derby with Broadheath Central and Spurley Hey were the big hitters, beating AFC Stockport Warriors 8-3 in the goals-filled local derby.

Division A leaders Waterhead were in cup action but second-placed Moston Brook Thirds dropped points in a 1-1 draw at Prestwich Marauders.
They are two points behind Waterhead who have a massive four games in hand.
Fittonhill AllStars are in third spot after a close 2-1 win over Salford United and Newton Vikings stay in fourth place after a narrow 2-1 win over Irlam Steel Development.

There was a big shock in Division B as, after two heavy defeats in league and cup to leaders Signol Athletic, both at home, Santos U23 caused maybe the shock of the day in defeating their hosts 5-3.
Goals for Santos were scored by Jackson Fulton (two), Aaron Ray (two) and Blessing Rashidi.
AFC Stockport Titans missed a chance to close the gap at the top to a point as they were held to a 2-2 draw by a gutsy Didsbury Thirds.
The other game in the division saw Bury Ams B edge a 3-2 win over Stoconians Reserves.
