After the devastation to the league programme last week due to Storm Darragh the L&C were delighted to complete the first half of their season with a full programme of vital and exciting games.


The Premier Division is developing into a two-horse with two teams completing the year with an unbeaten record.
Salford Vics have led the way for the bulk of the season and have been scoring goals for fun in recent weeks and they travelled to Bury Ams brilliant new facility at Redbank PF in confident mood.
The game was nip and tuck with just a Joe Axon goal separating the teams at half time. However, the flood gates opened straight after kick off with three quick goals putting Vics in total control.
Bury did themselves no favours being reduced to 10 men after 80 minutes.
Goals from Paul Jameson, Josh Lawman 2, Cam Woodhouse 2, Pauli Villers and Connor Faulkner gave an 8-0 win to Vics with a clean sheet for Jamie Milner and a great performance from referee Rory McAlister.
The other unbeaten team are Bedians who kept up their record with an efficient 3-1 win over Bollington United.
Vics lead the table by seven points from Abacus Media, who won 4-2 at Hazel Grove, with a game in hand. Bedians are a point behind Abacus but have two games in hand on Vics.
Sale Ams are in fourth place after bouncing back to good form with a big 8-2 win over AFC Monton.
The other game saw Pro United move into the comfort of mid-table with a 3-0 win hosting Trafford United.

It was a crucial weekend in Division One with the top four involved in games with each other.
Leaders AFC Stockport were in a tight tussle with Moston Brook Reserves and lost out 3-2.
Chadderton Cott won a great game at Rushford Park 3-1 with a stunning first half strike followed by a Jake Jackson brace with his clinical first followed by a flying header and Rushford were indebted to their young keeper for some vital saves.
Trafford Reserves, with games in hand over the top group showed their intent to close the gap with a 5-0 win over Richmond Rovers.
The other two games both were 4-2 scorelines in favour of Hattersley at FC Babylon and Stoconians at Elton Fold.


In Division Two, Rochdalians moved top on goal difference from non-playing Santos and Stretford Paddock after edging a close encounter hosting Didsbury 2-1.
Mellor Reserves are also in the mix with a comfortable 7-3 win over Old StretsGregs.
Another entertaining game saw Hillgate and Konger share four goals.

In Division Three, Manchester Rovers finished a fantastic first half to the season with a 7-0 win over Trafford United Reserves to move five points clear of Sublime Athletic who were without a game.
Old StretsGregs Reserves are in third place after keeping an immaculate clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over Heywood St James Reserves.
There were good wins for Timperley Villa – 6-1 over AFC Stockport Warriors – and Broadheath Central, who triumphed 5-2 at Village Manchester Reserves.
It was much closer in the other game with Saddleworth 3D scoring the only goal hosting Altrincham Hale Thirds.

There was plenty of action in Division A and leaders Moston Brook Thirds lost out 1-0 at Salford United and Waterhead closed the gap at the top to three points with a massive four games in hand after a 4-2 win over Bury Ams A.
Fittonhill All-Stars stay in third place with a 4-2 derby win hosting Milnrow Firgrovia.
Newton Vikings were the big hitters with a 7-2 win over Stafford Argyle but it was much closer in the other games which included a breathless 4-3 win for Prestwich Marauders over Didsbury Reserves and a six-goal thriller between Manchester Saints Athletic and AFC Oldham that ended honours even.

Division B leaders Signol Athletic look unstoppable at the summit as they stay seven points clear at the top after a huge 9-1 win over Didsbury Thirds.
AFC Stockport Titans were also on form as they stay in second spot Santos u23 went to Titans and were beaten 6-1.
The hosts went into the interval five goals up. Blessing Rashidi pulled a goal back late on but there was still time for Titans to get their sixth goal.
Bury Ams B were too hot for AFC Oldham Reserves to handle in a big win and the other division’s other game saw Village Manchester Thirds and Stoconians share the spoils in a 2-2 deadlock.
