The start of the second half of the L&C season saw fixtures decimated by heavy rain and flooding with just a handful of games played, mainly on 3G pitches.

In the solitary Premier Division game, Salford Vics moved 10 points clear of Abacus Media after defeating them 2-0 in the clash of the top two.
Despite being under strength, Vics contained Abacus and slowly took control of the game, eventually dominating the midfield while their defence coped with the Abacus threat.
Sam Birkett opened the scoring after 18 minutes when a move down the right culminated with Josh Lawman pulling the ball back leaving Sam with a tap in from three yards out.
Vics doubled their lead on 27 minutes when Joe Axon broke clear down the left and cut into the area leaving several mystified on the floor in his wake before firing a powerful left-foot shot into the net.
The game was played in a generally good spirit by both teams and well refereed by Martin Flynn and assistants Stephen Howard and Graham Ellis.
The other game featuring a Premier Division team saw Bedians go out of the Northern Cup after going down 4-1 against a very strong Daten FC.

There were no games in Division One and none of the leading pack in Division Two were in action.
Konger put in a solid performance with some smart finishing as they beat Hillgate 8-3 and the other game in the division saw Tintwistle Athletic Reserves and Abacus Media Reserves share the spoils in a 2-2 deadlock.

There were three games played in Division Three and Sublime Athletic’s hopes of cutting the big lead of Manchester Rovers were hit as they lost out 2-0 in a local derby with Saddleworth 3D.
The other two games were close contests with Trafford United Reserves defending well to keep a clean sheet at Spurley Hey and score the only goal of the day.
The other game was a cracking local derby between Altrincham Hale and Broadheath Central enjoyed by experienced referee John Melia who praised both teams for their attitude and efforts.
Broadheath led 3-0 at the break but Altrincham Hale put on a great second half revival to end the game at 3-3.

In Division A, Waterhead posted a comfortable 7-2 victory over Prestwich Marauders to overtake Moston Brook Thirds on goal difference and they have three vital games in hand.

There were plenty of goals in Division B, led by Bury Ams B who were too hot to handle in a 12-0 win over Saddleworth 3D Reserves.
Second-placed AFC Stockport Titans closed the gap on leaders Signol Athletic to four points with a 6-1 win at AFC Oldham Reserves.
