A full programme of games saw three delayed cup ties completed as well as an exciting and goals-filled set of league fixtures.

In the North West Inter League Cup the final game in round one saw Sale Ams host LAL ‘s Burnley Belvedere.
Sale got off to a flier with strikes from Andy Petrou and Kazim Waite-Jackson giving them an early 2-0 lead and they extended this to 3-0.

But the visitors showed their battling qualities to draw level and eventually go through to the next round with a late winner seeing them home 4-3.

Another delayed cup tie was in the domestic Wray Cup and division two high-fliers hosted Tintwistle Athletic reserves who are looking forward to their upcoming Derbyshire Junior Cup final.
In the Whitehead Cup the match between Prestwich Marauders and Waterhead ended at 1-1 with Marauders winning the penalty shoot-out 4-3 to end the divisional leader’s hopes of a league and cup double.
There were few problems for Paddock who coasted through to round two with an emphatic 7-1 victory.

Premier Division leaders Salford Vics were without a game and second placed Abacus Media could only reduce the points deficit to eight points as they were held 1-1 by in-form Bollington and Vics have three games in hand over Abacus.
Bedians are in third place with games in hand and they had an efficient 2-0 win at Trafford United to keep their momentum flowing.
The other game was a close contest with AFC Monton winning 3-2 at Bury Ams.

The top two in Division One were both in hot form as they posted two big wins.
Leaders Chadderton Cott were on top form with a big 8-1 win at Stoconians and second-placed Rushford Park did even better with a 9-0 win at Hattersley.
Trafford reserves have games in hand over the top two and showed their promotion intent with a comfortable 5-1 win at Elton Fold to stay in the mix.


The big game in Division Two saw the top two teams playing each other.
In a hard fought top of the table clash Santos defeated Rochdalians.
The only goal of the game came after half an hour when Ryan McConkie scored from the spot for the visitors.
The win takes Santos to the top of the table a point clear of Rochdalians.
Cavaliers have struggled in the division all season but they showed their resilience in a thriller hosting Didsbury before going down 7-5 in an epic contest.
The other game had Abacus Media reserves winning 3-1 over Hillgate to move nearer to mid-table security.

Division Three was busy with six games and runaway leaders Manchester Rovers maintained their 13-point lead as they worked hard for a 3-1 win at AFC Stockport Warriors.
Saddleworth 3D moved into second place as they romped home 9-3 hosting Trafford United reserves.
They overtook Sublime Athletic who had a tough contest at Spurley Hey.
Both teams complimented referee Laura Marler and her team for their excellent performance with the game decided in the last minute with a strike from Spurley Hey seeing them home 2-1 to add to Dom Breed’s early goal.
An end-to-end local derby at Broadheath Central saw them share eight goals with Altrincham Hale thirds.
Another Trafford local derby had Old StretGregs win 4-1 at Timperley Villa.
The final game in the division had Heywood St James reserves winning a tight contest 2-1 at South Manchester.

In Division A there was a remarkable sequence of 6-0 wins for Irlam Steel Rangers over Bury Ams A, Didsbury reserves against AFC Oldham and Fittonhill All-Stars over Stafford Argyle.
Surpassing this were Manchester Saints with a 10-0 win over Milnrow Firgrovia.

A relatively sedate 2-1win for Moston Brook thirds saw them reduce Waterhead’s lead at the top to two points.

The top game in Division B had runaway leaders Signol Athletic move nine points clear of AFC Stockport Titans with a comfortable 7-2 win over their closest rivals
Santos U23 continued their good form of recent weeks in defeating Rushford Park reserves.
The scores were locked at 2-2 at the interval, however the hosts scored three times after the break to finish 5-2 winners.
Santos scorers were Jackson Fulton (two), Oliver Bowman, Joe Mellor and Aaron Ray.
The other game in the division ended with the spoils shared in a 2-2 draw between Village Manchester thirds and Moston Brook fourths.
Action between Sale Ams and Burnley Belvedere (Sale in white) and Spurley Hey v Sublime Athletic (Spurley in claret and blue)
