Referee Associations
Bury and North Manchester Referees' Association
Founded in 1898 as Bury & District Referees' Association, we continue to evolve and progress to meet the needs of local match officials both now and in the future. In February 2019, we changed our name to Bury and North Manchester Referees' Association, to reflect our support to referees in a wider area.
Stockport Referees' Society
The Stockport Referee Society was established in 1947, following the post-war reconstruction era. It is known for its size and activity, considered one of the largest and most active refereeing associations in the UK. The society has been recognized for its efforts to improve the refereeing community in and around Stockport, receiving the Bronze Quest award from the Referees Association.

Rochdale Referees' Association
Meetings are held in the upstairs room at Rochdale Sports Club (also known as Rochdale Cricket, Lacrosse and Squash Club), usually on the third Thursday of the month during the season (between August and May), with meetings commence at 7.30pm. All members of any Referees’ Association or Society and anyone interested in joining the Association are welcome to attend. We are affiliated to Lancashire Football Association and also have links with Manchester Football Association. We usually have over 40 members each season from all standards of refereeing. We currently have members who officiate on the EFL, National League, Contributory Leagues, Supply Leagues and Local Open Age and Youth as well as a number of formerly-active and social members.
